Seattle AIDS Walk
The Seattle AIDS Walk took place on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Volunteer Park. Thanks so much to everybody who came out to demonstrate their support! Stay tuned for details about the next upcoming Seattle AIDS Walk.
Although the AIDS Walk was more like an AIDS Swim this year, the event was as vibrant as ever. Despite the rain, there was no shortage of beaming smiles. Thousands of enthusiastic people showed up to honor lives touched by HIV/AIDS and to build momentum towards an AIDS free generation. Still others opted to support the AIDS Walk as virtual walkers. We couldn't be more pleased with how the event turned out! Thank you all!
We would like to thank all of our sponsors for the 2013 Seattle AIDS Walk. This year's event was presented by AIDS Healthcare Foundation. Other sponsors included Delta Air Lines, Safeway, GEICO, Virginia Mason Medical Center, Walgreens, Whole Foods Market, Starbucks and Amtrak. Media sponsors included KING 5, The Stranger, C89.5, Capitol Hill Seattle Blog, Clear Channel Outdoor, KEXP, Seattle Met, Seattle Gay News, The Seattle Lesbian, Titan 360, and Yelp.
If you stopped by the photo booth at the Walk, be sure to visit the Usnap gallery to see yourself striking fun and ridiculous poses as an excuse to escape the rain.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the run. The results from the race can be found here.
